Designed for Crosswinds Development, this twenty and a half acre site is a mixed used development in Jacksonville, Florida. The design was developed to create public spaces and plazas along the waterfront. The Project is planned to connect with the river walk.
One of the challenges in dealing with this project was that a freeway intersects the middle of the site. The solution introduces an axial entry to the project from Adams street through a five story opening in one of the four residential towers. The bulk of the ground floor is retail with covered walkways to offer protection from the summer rains. Restaurants are planned at the river’s edge.
| Residential Units: | 980 in four towers ranging from fifteen to thirty-six stories. |
| Office space: | 110,000 square feet above the retail |
| Retail: | 115,000 square feet |
| Parking decks: | Approximately 3,000 spaces in five story decks. |
